TACT – Telford After Care Team.
Founded in 2012 to help people in their recovery from addiction to drugs and drink. It is a community interest company which is run and managed by ex-service users. TACT runs 4 Smart Recovery Groups weekly, which are located throughout Telford area, as well as opportunities for group activities (crafty arts/ gardening, Hepatitis C Support, Mental Health and dual diagnosis support, Smart/NA/AA, women only), educational courses and training, signposting and advice and referrals to other services and agencies (harm reduction and health advice, housing support drop-in – homelessness, rent arrears and tenancy issues, person-centered counselling and welfare support drop in – benefits, debt and financial advice).
TACT provides a valuable resource within the Telford & Wrekin area for patients who are addicted to drugs and drink which is recognised nationally as a good practice model. Practices can signpost patients to the service by simply providing the telephone number below, this service is free of charge.
